The Great Mahatma Gandhiji used to stay here after his departure from Sabarmati.
The Ashram was named after Maganlal Khushalchand Gandhi.
This place was originally a Ashram which was later converted into Museum by Mahatma Gandhiji himself in the year 1938 and not only that it is the only museum in entire India which was founded by Mahatma Gandhiji.
