This place is a memorial to Vasantrao Banduji.
Vasantrao Banduji was usually called as “Vasantdada” in Sangli.
He was considered as the first modern Maratha strongman and also the first mass leader in Maharashtra's politics.
One must visit this place to honour his struggle and efforts.
Visiting this place at night is highly recommended.
As this place is located near the river it is also a perfect place for photography.
