Mahatma Phule Museum was founded in 1890 and was known as Poona Industrial Museum, and subsequently.
It was named by Lord Reay - A Dutch born British Administrator and Liberal Politicians.
Later in the year 1968 it was renamed as Mahatma Phule Museum.
The Museum has more industrial artifacts such as armory, models of hydroelectric power and irrigation systems.
