Omkareshwar Mandir is an eighteenth century sanctuary developed by Shivram Bhat, Krishnaji Pant Chitrav and the sibling of Peshwa Bajirao I.
The sanctuary was used to be the memorial service site (smashaan bhoomi) for the Pune Hindus till 1971.
This sanctuary is located very close to Balgandharva Rang Mandir, Shanivar Peth.
